France based publisher/developer Monte Cristo, founded in 1995, has been shut down according to online reports. The writing was on the wall when earlier this year it decided to shut down the multiplayer portion of its latest city builder Cities XL due to not enough subscribers/sales. There were plans to transform the game into singleplayer only as Cities XL 2011, but the closure seems to indicate that may not happen, however the developers stated that an unnamed publisher has picked up Cities XL and will continue to be sold.

I think my gaming rig has been overheating ever since I bought the Geforce 250. My screen randomly freezes, turns  black and then comes back after a few seconds, sometimes a few times in a row. My standard case was not meant for all the power supply cables, so airflow is probably non-existent. I bought a new, and bigger, case last weekend, so maybe I'll tinker around with that in the next few days and see if we can get it assembled and working again.
