When Ascaron filed for bankruptcy protection it filed sold off most of its franchises to Koch Media, but kept Sacred 2 as it was developing an addon, which is now nearing completion. Ascaron Studio 2 announced that it is shutting down, with only a handful people remaining who are finalizing various localizations.
