After making an appearance on the NDS/PSP, and compiled in Taito Legends on the PS2/Xbox and PC, Taito's cult classic arcade game Rainbow Islands will receive a modernizing touch in the form of Rainbow Islands Towering Adventure, marrying the original's much-loved vintage platform gameplay mechanics with the Wiimote.

Art of Murder: Hunt for the Puppeteer is a point & click adventure where the player takes on the role of an FBI agent, whose task is to solve a series of macabre murders of wealthy, well-to-do citizens. In this second installment you reprise the role of Nicole Bonnet, who is tasked with finding a serial killer who's calling card is leaving 17th century dolls at the crime scene.

A sequel to the original Xbox title, Ninja Gaiden 2 has players once again assuming the role of Ryu Hayabusa as they guide the ninja hero on a quest to avenge his clan and prevent the destruction of the human race. Deal of the week is the July 2008 Mission Mode, normally 800 MS Points but now at 300, challenging your skills in self-contained missions featuring trials and tribulations not found in the standard story mode.

Activision announced that Attack! Attack! UK is the winner of the Guitar Hero Listening Session at MIDEM 2009. Voted on by a panel of industry veterans, the band beat out over 200 other submissions to have their new single "You and Me," released today featured in an upcoming Guitar Hero game.

Last year Gibson, one of the exclusive partners of the Guitar Hero franchise, filed a lawsuit against Activision, EA/MTV Games and various retailers, claiming the game infringed on its 1999 patent for technology simulating a live performance using a musical instrument. Activision countersued, asking the U.S. District Court of California to declare Gibson's patent invalid and to bar it from seeking damages, and last Thursday, the U.S. District Court of Central California did just that.
