Guitar Hero: World Tour will feature guitar, vocals, drums, the ability to create your own songs (and upload them on GHTunes), four-player on/offline co-op, and an eight-player battle of the bands multiplayer mode (4vs4). The Eagles, Nirvana and The Smashing Pumpkins are returning in December with exclusive DLCs, as well as three free Reggae Rock tracks from Pepper, Slightly Stoopid and Expendables.

MindArk, developers of Entropia Universe, has licensed Kevin Rudolf and Lil Wayne's single "Let it Rock" to herald the switching over to the CryENGINE2 in 2009. Heatwave Interactive came was founded by former EA/Codemasters exec. Anthony Castoro and entrepreneur Donn Clendenon early 2007. While the first projects have yet to be announced, it has recruited former Hasbro VP and Professor of Video Games Technology Paul Fullwood, former CFO and Treasurer for Valve Patrick Goodwin and former ArenaNet manager Jenny Bendel.
