To position the game in "a more favorable market window," Take Two delayed the North American release until Oct. 21 and Oct. 24 in Europe.

Chinatown Wars is an entirely original entry in the GTA franchise, and brings a new level of interactivity to its sprawling open environments. Originally slated for a winter 2008 release, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder revealed today that it GTA: Chinatown Wars is scheduled for its Q1 2009 fiscal period, which runs from Nov. 1, 2008 and Jan. 31, 2009.
