Performance Designed Products has acquired motion sensing technology developer In2Games, creator of Gametrak Freedom, a ultrasonic 3D motion-sensing technology offering performance, control and flexibility far in excess of existing technologies.

Sony has released a new v2.43 PS3 firmware update, but is specific to the Japan region, and only PS3 users there will be required to install the update. PS3 users in all other regions will not be prompted to download v2.43. However, if you manually initiate a firmware update by clicking on “System Update” under the XMB’s Settings icon, the v2.43 update will be available, regardless of where you are located, and will it will not cause any issues with your system or add any new functionality.

Resistance 2 will feature 8-player, story-driven online co-op separate from the regular single-player campaign, 60-player online PvP (Heavy, Special Ops, Medic classes) and more vehicles, including The Chameleon, a Stalker with full cloak.
