Publisher/developer Data Design Interactive takes its big bag of Wii games to the 2007 Games Convention in Leipzig/Germany (August 22nd -26th), where it will be making a number of announcements, most importantly the launch of its new Wii label entitled Popcorn Arcade.

Civ. IV: Beyond the Sword will focus on the late-game time periods after the invention of gunpowder and will deliver 12 challenging and decidedly different scenarios. 2K Games has released a second demo allowing you to try out th first 100 turns of the Charlemagne scenario, and includes a demo exclusive dinosaur unit.

Since Bethesda acquired the Star Trek license from CBS early 2006, it has released two titles, Star Trek: Legacy for PC & X360, and Star Trek: Tactical Assaults for PSP/NDS. Apparently that wasn't enough as a product listing at online game rental outlet GameFly revealed the Wii is getting its share with Star Trek Conquest. Scheduled for November 2007, no further details were revealed and a Bethesda representative refused to comment, but now that the cat's out of the bag, a formal announcement will probably be coming soon ...

Dimensity is a strategy game with a strong RPG element, focused on the warfare between different races in a fantasy world. The game play involves real time battles, simplified management, unit upgrades and leader development. As a result players are immediately immersed into a challenging world of war and mystery.

Manhunt 2 was banned even before it saw the light of day; the ESRB slapped it with an AO, resulting in both Sony and Nintendo refusing to publish the game on its consoles. In an interview with C&GV, Condemned 2 producer Constantine Hantzopoulos admits that the controversy has led them to scale back the game's mature content and remove certain non-essential items.
