Austin based Certain Affinity, formed by x-Bungie employees, is working on Plunder, an upcoming pirate-themed RTS game that will be downloadable through Xbox Live and Playstation Network according to the latest issue of EGM. Published by Capcom and scheduled for June, Plunder has you commandeer a ship, hunting down other others, seizing towns and so forth. The game uses a tile based UI, supports 4-player split screen, and will also include an editor allowing users to edit maps and share their creations.

At the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference earlier today, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick revealed that a Call of Duty MMO is under consideration. The current market has quite a few MMOs, but, as with the recent Star Trek Online/Perpetual fiasco has shown, even more get canceled, which is why Kotick believes the soon-to-be completed Activision Blizzard merger would put the company be in a good position to make it happen, drawing from the WoW user base, as well as the expertise of Blizzard.
