THQ's Vice President/CFO Resigns

THQ announced that Edward Zinser, its executive vice president and chief financial officer, has resigned, effective immediately. The company has appointed Rasmus van der Colff, vice president and controller, as interim chief financial officer and has initiated a search for a permanent replacement for Zinser.

Rockstar Games announced the fourth installment in the franchise, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, which is being developed by series creator Rockstar San Diego. This brings the franchise to next-gen consoles for the first time.

Atari Bundles 'Arma: Queen's Gambit' Expansion In Gold Edition

Atari announced that it will publish ArmA: Gold, a compilation of Arma: Combat Operations and Arma: Queens Gambit. Bohemia Interactive's newest military expansion pack for PC is also available via digital download.

'Fragile' (Wii) Revealed - Screens & Trailer

While there is no official announcement yet, Namco Bandai has confirmed earlier rumors that Tri-Crescendo is developing a Wii-exclusive, post-apocalyptic RPG, Fragile. Currently scheduled for a 2008 release in Japan, Fragile tells the story of a young boy, Seto, searching for a mysterious girl in a ghost town. The Wiimote will be used as a flashlight, as well as metal detector.

Father of PlayStation Gets Lifetime Achievement Award

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) has named former President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., Ken Kutaragi, the recipient of the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be bestowed at this year’s Interactive Achievement Awards (IAA) ceremony on Feb. 7 at the annual D.I.C.E. Summit 2008.

Microsoft is making it even easier to expand your Friends network on Xbox Live, starting with the Fall Dashboard Update on Dec. 4th. Members will now be able to check out the friends lists of fellow Xbox Live members right from the Dashboard, and send messages and game invites, as well as compare games and Achievements.
