Cryptic Studios announced that it has hired twelve-year comic book industry veteran and accomplished game/design writer John Layman to join the Marvel Universe Online MMO team, currently in development for PC and the Xbox 360.

NCsoft and ArenaNet announced that the prerelease bonus pack for Guild Wars: Eye of the North is set to arrive on retailers' shelves on July 20 and will include a host of compelling features, including exclusive in-game items and access to the Guild Wars: Eye of the North Sneak Peek Weekend set for later this summer.

At the Playstation Premier 2007 press conference in Japan, SEGA revealed it is developing Valkyrie of the Battlefield. While details are unavailable at this point, the new action is being developed by the creators of SEGA's PS2 crime series Yakuza.

High Energy Productions' producer Keisuke Kikuchi announced Project Rygar will be an all-new Wii exclusive title, not a PS2 port. Expected later this year in Japan, Project Rygar will introduce a new hero and use the Wiimote to control Rygar's trademark weapon, the Diskarmor.
