The Extra Time expansion, currently only announced in Germany as "Verlängerung," adds new stadiums from all over Europe, new features such as ability to sell advertisement, start as coach, half time screens with commentary and plenty more..

In an interview with MTV, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's CEO Phil Harrison revealed that a sequel for LocoRoco is in the works, "It was a very successful game for us and we're continuing to evolve the franchise," he said. "We're going to bring 'LocoRoco' back in a couple of new ways with some new friends in the future."
