Activision, Inc.’s top-selling game of 2001, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 was honored with the Best Console Sports Game of the Year award by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. The award was presented at the 5th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony, held at the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas.

Activision announced today that it has shipped Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 for the Xbox and Gameboy Advance to stores (make sure to call ahead to see if its in stock). “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 for Xbox has great new features including an exclusive level, enhanced graphics, and multiplayer support that allows up to four friends to hang out and compete against each other via System Link,” said Larry Goldberg, executive vice president, Activision Worldwide Studios. “The Game Boy Advance version marks the first time the Create-A-Skater feature has ever been brought to the handheld system, and gamers can now play with up to three of their buddies with the Game Link Cable.”

Offering eight massive levels filled with people, traffic, and other interactive elements, the environments are brought to life with richer graphics and advanced special effects. Continuing to build on its successful action sports brand, Activision, Inc. confirmed today that acclaimed developer Gearbox Software is currently in the final stages of production on the PC version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater™ 3. The game will include several new platform specific features such as exclusive online modes, downloadable user-created maps and fully customizable mouse, game controller and keyboard configurations.

Crave Entertainment announced today "X-Bladez: In-Line Skater" for the Sony PS has shipped to stores. Based on in-line skating, one of the fastest growing and most creative extreme sports in the United States, this new racing game challenges players to get aggressive and trick, grind, and stunt their way through the levels. Rated E for Everyone, "X-Bladez" is now available at a suggested retail price of $9.95.

Crave Entertainment announced today its new extreme sports racing game, "X-Bladez: In-Line Skater" for Nintendo's Game Boy(R) Advance. Based on in-line skating, one of the fastest growing sports in the United States, "X-Bladez: In-Line Skater" takes players on international in-line skating adventures, rolling through some of the hottest tourist spots in the world. The game is scheduled to ship in Q1 2002.
