Well, my tinkering with the new quad core came to a screeching halt today. I managed to find an IDE to SATA adapter at Fry's, but I couldn't get it it work properly despite its fairly simplistic installation. The PC wouldn't recognize it at all, and then for some reason, it wouldn't even boot up anymore. This turned out to not be true at all, as my monitor just decided to have hiccups and turn black. Bottom line, I put my old dual core back together, so that I at least have a workstation, and I'll try again this weekend, when I have more time.

Been playing some APB, Stronghold Kingdoms and War Inc. and watched Game of Thrones.

Damn, this weekend flew by in a hurry!

Apart from going out for some tasty breakfast, we mainly watched movies. There was a Toy Story marathon on TV, so we watched the first two of the trilogy, some Bones, NCIS, Supernatural, and we went to the theater to see Source Code. If you haven't seen Jake Gyllenhaal's latest movie yet (also starring Russell Peters, Vera Farmiga and Michelle Monaghan), then I won't spoil give any spoilers, but the movie was quite good and the last minute is a head scratcher in a good and bad way. Also watched Just Wright with Queen Latifah and Common, and it was surprisingly good for a romantic comedy.

We suffered through Machete, and wow, for all the high-profile cameos (Robert De Niro, Don Johnson, Steven Seagal and Jessica Alba), I did NOT like it at ALL. What a waste of time.

Following in the tradition of The First Encounter, the game will feature all the insane action of the original game but with visuals beautifully rendered to current standards. Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter will also feature an all new Co-Op Tournament mode that will allow teams to compete with one another.

While details have been promised as far back as 2009, there has yet to be any official announcement about Serious Sam 3, however Croteam CEO Roman Ribaric teased that we may expect something "soon," and revealed that the game itself is expected to be released summer 2011. The only fact that is known is that Serious Sam 3 will use the proprietary Serious 3 engine.
