Warrior Kings...come out and pla-ay! Microïds sends word that the US version of Warrior Kings, their 3D RTS game that's already invaded Europe, is gold. The game is expected to be in stores throughout North America by April 15.

Octagon Entertainment has signed a representation agreement with Walker Boys Studio and is seeking a worldwide publishing deal for its debut title, Civil War: War Between the States. Brothers Eric and Chad Walker, who once served as conceptual artists and designers at Ensemble Studios, formed the development team in 1999 with the goal of creating computer games that raise game industry expectations.

Entertainment software publisher NovaLogic, Ltd. released more details on the forthcoming stand-alone Mission Pack for the successful Delta Force Land Warrior, part of the Delta Force franchise that has sold over 3 million units worldwide.

Rockstar Games announced the official name change of DMA Design, developers of best-selling tour de force "Grand Theft Auto 3" to Rockstar Studios. DMA Design was acquired by Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, and has been part of the Rockstar Games family since September 1999.

Star Trek Starfleet Command® III is the next installment in the Star Trek tactical starship combat simulator series, while also revealing that Activision has picked up the publishing reigns for SFC from Interplay. The developer of the game is not specified, but the game is expected to be released in time for this year's holiday season. This quote from Larry Goldberg, executive vice president at Activision, offers some expectations for the game as well as word that the Next Generation reference in the press release is literal: "The Starfleet Command series captures the spirit and style of Star Trek by offering large-scale, ship-to-ship tactical combat. Star Trek Starfleet Command III reinvents the legendary series by bringing it into the Star Trek: The Next Generation universe and introducing powerful new ship customization, more in-depth story missions, and a streamlined interface."

Microids has released new patches for Warrior Kings, upgrading the UK, French and Italian editions of this 3D real-time strategy game by Black Cactus to version 1.2. This 5.0 MB release adds a large number of general, gameplay, level and art fixes as listed on the download pages. The game is only available in Europe as of now.

Mindscape is proud to announce an exclusive publishing agreement with Project 3 Interactive for the adventure game ’Schizm: Mysterious Journey’ on DVD-Rom and PC CD-Rom. Infogrames picked up the rights to Total Annihilation after purchasing GT Interactive, who published the original game, which was developed by now-defunct Cavedog Studios (thanks blues)

Strategy First and PAN Vision announced today that they have signed a distribution agreement in which PAN Vision acquires the rights to distribute Disciples II and Trainz throughout the Scandinavian territories.

F1 2002 will be the first Formula One game to feature the new 2002 season when it launches. Capcom Eurosoft today confirmed that it will be publishing its first PlayStation 2 titles on Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s Platinum range this coming June. The first two titles are Onimusha: Warlords and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X both of which topped the charts when released last year.

Capcom Eurosoft today confirmed it plans to publish Capcom vs SNK Pro for the PlayStation. The game is scheduled to be released this July throughout all PAL territories.

Strategy First sends along a note that four new scenarios for Disciples II: Dark Prophecy are now available for download from the official site for their recently released turn-based strategy game. There's one scenario called Cornered Beast by Strategy First, while scenarios Armageddon, The Longest Journey and The Renegade Wizards were designed by fans.

Activision, Inc. is taking gamers on a mysterious journey to confront a malevolent force that threatens the future of the world in Lost Kingdoms, the first real-time action RPG for the GameCube. Partnering with premier Japanese software publisher and developer FromSoftware, Inc., Activision will publish Lost Kingdoms worldwide excluding Japan, Korea, and China. The game will be available this spring and carries a “T” (Teen) rating for comic mischief and violence from the ESRB.
