Firaxis Games and Atari are excited to announce that the second expansion pack to the greatest strategy game of all time has gone gold. Sid Meier's Civilization III: Conquests will arrive in stores across North America November 4th and in Europe November 14th. Civ Conquests takes players on a provocative journey through the ages as they pursue victory in the most famous adventures in history.

The creators of the massively popular computer game franchise "Diablo" announced today the formation of their new entertainment software development company, Flagship Studios. Flagship Studios has been founded by David Brevik, Max Schaefer, Erich Schaefer, Bill Roper and Kenneth Williams, all former executives at Blizzard North. David Brevik served as President while Max Schaefer, Erich Schaefer and Bill Roper held Vice President positions within the company. Ken Williams was Blizzard North's Director of Business and Operations. Together, the management and executive team for Flagship Studios represents over 45 years of game development experience.

Datel Electronics has announced the release of the USB Expander for the PlayStation 2. Recognizing a need for the online gamer to access more than the two provided USB ports on the PS2, Datel has released the USB Expander, which provides an additional four USB Ports to supplement the two existing ports found on all PS2 models. The four additional ports will allow for the use of a USB Broadband Adapter, Keyboard, Mouse, Headset, and EyeToy all at the same time. Gamers will now be able to establish their console set-up without having to add or remove peripherals depending on game compatibility.

Konami Digital Entertainment - America today announced that it has shipped over 1 million units of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) on its launch day. Available at retail outlets nationwide for PS2, Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance, the game is backed by a multi-million dollar national TV campaign including FoxBox and Nickelodeon.

Buka Entertainment and Encore are pleased to announce an agreement covering the North American and South African markets. Under the agreement, Encore will publish a half dozen of Buka's titles including Fair Strike, Echelon: Wind Warriors, and Entente: WWI Battlefields. "This agreement was highly anticipated at Buka," commented Igor Ustinov President of Buka Entertainment. "We are really happy to bring our games to the large North American market. Electronic Arts and LEGO Interactive today announced that Bionicle, a fast-paced action adventure platform title based on one of the LEGO Company’s most successful toy lines of recent years, is now available for the PS2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube.
