Japan’s most successful PSP title, Monster Hunter Portable 2G, is heading to Europe this coming Spring. Renamed Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, this latest installment in the epic Monster Hunter series delivers over 500 hours of gameplay spanning some 400 missions. Add in previously unreleased monsters, weapons and missions and you have the biggest Monster Hunter game to date.
Using the Ad-Hoc connection players can adventure with up to three friends for a savaging multiplayer hunting party. From devising the strategy to executing the attack, players will need to work together in order to hunt down the ferocious beasts and progress through

Monster Hunter Portable will be a port of the PS2 version of Monster Hunter G with a number of changes to accommodate the handheld device. Scheduled for release in Japan December 1st, no announcement or release date for Europe or North America has been revealed yet.

The latest Famitsu issue has word that Capcom is working on a standalone sequel for its online RPG, Monster Hunter. Improvements will include more weapons, a greater focus on grouping, and a much larger environment, with a dynamic day/night cycle, including season changing. This will have an effect on overall gameplay, as certain animals will only be accessible during specific times of the day. Owners of Monster Hunter 2 will also be able to connect with its little PSP brother, Monster Hunter Portable. Expected release date is end of the year in Japan.

An expansion to Capcom's popular 2004 online action game, Monster Hunter G adds a number of significant features to the original. Responding to feedback from players all over the world, the development team has incorporated an improved chatting and search interface in addition to allowing players to walk around town with their weapons. A sorting option has been added to the item pouches and boxes as well, and brand new weapons, color variations, and missions have been added to the initial lineup to help support an all-new twin blade weapon style.
