MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is moving from the rugged desert to a lush Pacific island with all of the vehicles familiar of the first game (ATVs, rally cars, buggies, motorbikes, race trucks, etc.), while adding a new monster truck class. 300 movie director Zack Snyder, currently working on Watchmen, has signed an agreement with EA to develop three original games with EA’s Los Angeles studio in Playa Vista. While the IPs will be owned by EA, Snyder’s Cruel & Unusual Films will have the option to produce film adaptations based on those properties.

Bungie has finally revealed the first, scant, details about their next project. While mostly a teaser,
the trailer shows Orbital Shock Drop Troopers, aka helljumpers, raining down on Lumumba. While the trailer only sports a Halo 3 logo, the Xbox Live Marketplace tags it as "High action and deep mystery await players in this new Halo 3 campaign experience." with a hidden Jan. 6, 2009 date. If this is the same project as the pulled E3 presentation, this could be the first signs of the rumored Halo Recon game. Said to be a mix between Gears of War and Ghost Recon, it follows the bloody, violent, and grim exploits of a squad of colonial marines vs. the Covenant.
