At Comic-Con Epic's Cliff Bleszinski revealed that Gears 2 will have "linked achievements," meaning the original will unlock new content in the sequel. For example, killing Raam in GoW will unlock him as a playable character in the sequel. Previously games used save games to unlock items or weapons in a sequel, but this might be a first to automatically have content be available through achievements.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will bring Games Workshop's fantasy world to life in a way that will allow players to create characters destined for great deeds and glory on the field of battle. Revealed earlier this year, the September issue of EGM has the first details on EA's free-roaming Skate 2. Set five years after the original, San Vanelona's been rebuild after it was hit by a natural disaster. Gears of War is an action game where hero Marcus Fenix is rescued from prison by a small group of elite soldiers to save planet Sera from an invasion of aliens known as the Locust.
