Ubisoft today announced that Ubisoft's Montreal studio is currently developing Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3 (Working Title), the next installment in the now-legendary Splinter Cell franchise. The Splinter Cell titles have consistently received some of industry's highest-ever review scores and most prestigious awards, and have sold, cumulatively, more than 6 million copies worldwide. Ubi Soft is pleased to announce that in conjunction with Nintendo, it will produce NINTENDO GAMECUBE playable demo disks to mark the launch of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell on the console in June 2003. The demo will consist of an introductory trailer and one level from the Chinese Embassy 2 map in the game, where Sam Fisher must use his stealth abilities to the highest level. Noticed on Bluesnews that this Ubi Soft financial resultsheet reveals some interesting future projects: "Batman 2, Raven Shield, Prince of Persia, Loose Cannon, BGE, Ghost Recon 2, Splinter Cell: Shadow Strike, Settlers V, Far Cry, Strike'R, Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon, Charlie's Angels, Myst online."
