It seems at least one X360 fan got lucky as he was able to purchase Microsoft's Xbox Live Vision camera, a month ahead of its scheduled Sept. 19 release date,
at his local Toys 'R' Us. The package includes a headset, the camera, 1 month of Live Gold, and a registration key for fan-fave Uno. Whether this is a across the board occurance at Toys 'R' Us is not yet known, as it looks now this is merely a stocking error, but it does mean the cameras are already in stores, albeit get in the back.

Activision released its financial numbers for Q1 of fiscal 2007, and while revenue dropped from $241 to $188 million, and net losses went up from $3.6 to $18 million, the overall results were better than expected, mainly due to strong sales of X-Men: ToG and Over The Hedge. When Activision signed its
license agreement with Marvel, it included rights for Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Iron Man through 2009. While the first three franchises all received games, Iron Man was the only one holding out, until the recent announcement of the movie. News has been rather quiet on that front, and
according to Gamespot, the reason is because Activision simply no longer holds the rights to it, effectively cancelling any game they had in development.

A regulatory filing with the SEC reveals that Activision has been sued by one of its shareholders over its issuance of stock options, in particular backdating, a practice that involves changing the date of a stock option from the day it was actually issued to an earlier date, usually when the stock was trading at a lower price, which makes the option more valuable. As many as sixty companies are currently under investigation for similar practices.

UK trade magazine MCV claims to have received word from an insider that Activision snagged the rights to develop a game based on DreamWorks Studios' upcoming The Transformers animated movie. Given the trackrecord of the two companies, Shrek 2, Madagascar, A Shark's Tale, and various other titles, this might not be too far fetched. The source said "Activision picked up the rights to Transformers last year and has already set a top US studio to work on the project," but Activision refuses to comment on rumors.
