In an interview with
USA Today, Nintendo's Reginald Fils-Aime stated that : "We will offer online-enabled games that the consumers will not have to pay a subscription fee for. They'll be able to enjoy that right out of the box. The Wii console is going to be Wi-Fi enabled, so essentially, you'll be able to plug it in and go. It won't have hidden fees or costs."

A memo sent to various Virgin Megastores in the UK may hold the key to the still undisclosed Nintendo Wii launchdate.
The letter, supposedly sent by Nintendo UK's Head of Games, reveals that 10 stores will be receiving a "countdown" clock later today, which should give us a clearer picture of when the Wii is actually going to launch. Since this was sent to Viurgin Megastores specirfically, we assume other outlets around the UK most likely received the same notice, if this letter of course is legit and not somebody playing a sick joke with our Wiilings...

SEGA of America's VP of marketing Scott Steinberg has revealed what they have planned for the PS3, and Wii console launches. In an
interview with GameDaily, Steinberg revealed Sonic the Hedgehog and Full Auto 2: Battlelines will be PS3 launch titles, while Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is going to be available when the Wii makes its retail debut. In case that wasn't enough, Steinberg also mentioned Full Auto 2 might come to the X360 after the exclusivity expires, while Sonic Wild Fire and Virtua Fighter 5 are currently scheduled for March 2007.

The latest issue of Sports Illustrated for Kids magazine features an article on the upcoming PS3 and Wii consoles and at the end of the Wii section it
flat out lists "Launch Date: November 6." Several known launch titles are listed in EBGames and GameStop computers are November 5th, so while nothing is official just yet, things are starting to look exciting ...
