Atari is working closely with AMD to develop Shadow Ops: Red Mercury for personal computer using AMD's advanced AMD Athlon 64 series of simultaneous 32- and 64-bit processors. The 64-bit version of the game will be included with the 32-bit version and will allow for improved textures, better image quality, faster game performance and an enhanced gameplay experience.

The Western Regional Qualifiers for the ATI/AMD Cyber X Games, the world's largest computer gaming tournament, will be held Friday - Sunday, Dec. 5 - 7 at the LAX Renaissance Hotel.
The best-of-the-best game players will battle it in a marathon of 54 straight hours of hectic double elimination rounds in Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament 2003 and America's Army. In addition to the chance to take home thousands of dollars in prizes, the winners of the Los Angeles event will advance to the ATI/AMD Cyber X Games Championships on Thursday - Sunday, January 8 - 11 at the Riviera and Stardust hotel casinos in Las Vegas.
