Jowood President Dr. Albert Seidl
revealed that it has received a multimillion dollar offer from a North American publisher to bring Gothic III to the Xbox. No specifications were given, nor did Dr. Siedl clarify whether it was for the current and next gen platform, but given the technical requirements, it is doubtful the current gen Xbox could handle it, so the X360 platform seems much more likely.

While Piranha Bytes is hard at work on Gothic 3, not much has been heard about the Gothic II: Night of the Raven expansion, andhere is why : "Bad news concerning the addon. I've talked with Plex if there will be an english version of the addon (Nacht des Raben), and he said that's a very difficult question. Many political problems are here within and it's not sure if there will be ever an english addon. this is out of the hands of JoWooD and Atari doesn't respond. Seems that the addon is temporary on ice or it died long before." (thanks RPGDot)

The story is set in the mine valley of Khorinis. The glorious days of the once productive mines in this small seaside region are long over. Instead, the mines are now akin to a natural prison that is surrounded by an impenetrable magic barrier where slaves eked out their miserable existence.Khorinis is facing an uncertain future. Due to the farmers' decreasing production, more and more of the food deliveries are not taking place, and the stocks diminish continuously. The militia's strength ends at the town gate. Outside the town wall, nobody is safe from the bandits' armed raids. There is war in Khorinis. A civil war. Although it has just been released in Europe (finally!), US gamers will still have to wait a bit longer. In them meantime, njoy the screens ...
