The Game Informer September 2007 issue reveals a new project in development over at Gearbox Software, which is currently finishing up Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. While details are slim, the front cover quote "Diablo meets Mad Max" indicates some sort of sci-fi inspired RPG/action game. Interplay announced earnings for the Q2 2007, reporting a net income of $5.46 million, compared to last year's $2.06 million. The results are mainly due to the sale of its Fallout license to Bethesda (for $5,750,000), while itself obtaining an exclusive license, under certain conditions, to use the IP for developing a Fallout MMO.

Ubisoft producer and technical director Dany Lepage seems to be firm about the
multiplatform future of Splinter Cell Conviction, saying that "It’s NEVER gonna come out on the PS3 or the Wii. It’s a logical decision," further implying that Nintendo’s console doesn’t have the graphical horsepower, and the PS3 can’t handle AI nearly as well as the 360. Let's wait a few days and see if Ubisoft issues a clarification or downright retraction of that statement.
