According to the Montreal Gazette, Radical president Ian Wilkinson announced today he is calling it quits and resigned, replaced by chief operating officer Kelly Zmak. No details were given as to why Ian so suddenly left the company he founded 15 years ago. A little over a year Vivendi purchased the Canadian developer, currently working on Scarface: The World Is Yours and was previously known for Crash Tag Team Racing, the Incredible Hulk, and The Simpsons: Hit & Run.

Valve announced a Day of Defeat: Source Summer 2006 update featuring a free map pack, a new gameplay style, Detonation, two brand new missions (Jagd, Colmar). On top of that, it will also add new gameplay enhancements such as spawn clip adjustments, improved hit location detection, and weapon balancing. It has been a bit quiet around Vietcong developer Pterodon, and after several months, the reason has been revealed. As it turns out, Pterodon has been acquired by fellow Czech Republic developer Illusion Softworks nine months ago. Technically, Pterodon still exists but is merely a shell company. All employees were moved to Illusion and are working on Enemy In Sight, recently sold off by ailing Atari to a yet-unknown publisher.
