German publisher Novitas has renamed Exozet Games/Provox's military turn-based strategy game Vietnam Combat: Enemy Territory into Vietnam Combat: First Battle. Reason for the sudden change of title is quite simple, Novitas plans to release several games in the series. More details should become available once the Games Convention in Leipzig kicks off, later this month.

While already revealed by Kuju, Hip Interactive Europe confirms today that it will no longer publish George A. Romero's City of The Dead as as it had concerns over the quality of the development. Hip Interactive Europe confirms the continuation of its publishing and distribution businesses across Europe and confirms the upcoming releases, this Fall, of its line-up with titles such as Rugby Challenge 2006, and Garfield "Saving Arlene".

Ubisoft has put up a message on the
official Ghost Recon website, regarding a reported
Red X error people have been experiencing. "Some users have reported that when initially loading the game, before, during, or after the intro movie, the game freezes and a “Red X” error message is displayed, which instructs the user to restart his/her Xbox. It is important to note that the error does not affect every user, and that the Red X screen itself is a generic error message, much like the dirty disk error messages that other games use." While Ubisoft is looking into the problem, make sure the dik is clean, unplug controllers from the Xbox during the game intro, or just keep restarting until you are successfull.

Steam Update has a few new screens from a reworked SAS model for Counter-Strike: Source, and also brings news about the release of DOD: Source, Lost Coast, and Aftermath, all are in the final phases of development and being polished for release. One of the new features in Lost Coast, which will be ready in a few weeks, is a commentary system, where you'll be able to hear first-hand some of the background on the features and choices in Lost Coast from the team responsible for building it.
