THQ and JAKKS Pacific today announced the release of their newest World Wrestling Entertainment licensed video game, WWE Survivor Series for the Game Boy Advance. Developed by Natsume, the game is now available at major retail outlets nationwide and features 16 WWE Superstars, an original story mode and eight different match types.

Commencing October 21st, owners of Joint Operations will be able to download versions of classic Joint Ops maps that are optimized for 5 v 5 player squad engagements. The first map to be released is 'Kutu Arms Market' and will be available via NovaLogic's own NovaXchange Map exchange system. Log into NovaWorld.com and click on the 'Xchange" tab at the top of the screen to download this new map, as well as access over 200 user created Joint Ops maps. NovaLogic will be adding more Squad optimized content for download over the coming weeks.

VE3D dug up some interesting news about Norwegian developers 'Innerloop' ('Joint Strike Fighter', 'Project IGI 1 & 2') who apparently have secretly been working on a strategy game based on the history of the Vikings. The game is set out to be a realistic depiction of the way of the Scandinavian people in the years between 800 and 1050 AD (known as the era of Vikings). So far, the Norwegian name of the game is 'Vikingjarl' ("jarl" is a Scandinavian chieftain or nobleman) and has a tentative 2006 release date.
