Sports Interactive is putting its immediate future on ice, with the announcement that NHL Eastside Hockey Manager will be available to the public for the first time from Friday, July 2nd in Europe, with releases to follow in Czech Republic in August, and the US in September. The PC version of the game will also be available as a digital download from the 2nd July, with more details to follow in the coming weeks.

As you read this Atari’s Driv3r will have be in the shops and being played in homes across the world after it’s worldwide release. If you’ve played it already you’ll no doubt be aware that the game is a huge disappointment and certainly not the Grand Theft Auto beater that the hype may have had you believe. Folk out there playing the game will be aware of it, and judging by Atari’s actions over the last week they are also very aware of it.

'Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon 2' is a first-person shooter game from Red Storm Entertainment, is due for a November release on Nintendo Game Cube and PCs. It’s already attracted North Korea’s attention. In a curt review, one of its government newspapers called the game “proof” of U.S. warmongering. “Through propaganda, entertainment and movies,” read a recent online commentary in the Tongil Newspaper, Americans “have shown everyone their hatred for us. This may be just a game to them now, but a war will not be a game for them later. In war, they will only face miserable defeat and gruesome deaths.” Read the full statement over at

Starfleet Universe that the developer of the Starfleet Command series, Taldren, has shut down. Taldren was working on a new Xbox/PC title for publisher Majesco, which got delayed a few months back, but with the demise of the developer, that project seems to have gone under completely. An incarnation of Taldren will survive in South Korea as Taldren's CEO Erik Bethke has already struck roots in Korea and is forging plans to develop a myth-themed MMORPG.
