Chaser is a first person shooter, built on the high-end 3D engine (CloakNT), in which main character passes through real environments and uses real weapons. The official Chaser Multiplayer Demo is now available for download. The multiplayer demo includes two game modes: Deathmatch and Shock Troops. The Deathmatch map is "Building Site". Codemaster has released a new upgrade for their stealth/action game IGI 2:Covert Strike. This upgrade will bring your retail game to v1.2 and increases framerates, improves synchronization of lifts and game timers, and fixes a few multiplayer bugs. GarageGames announced today it has signed an agreement to electronically publish titles from PomPom Games. The award winning UK developer is now going to have its games, Space Tripper and Mutant Storm added to the "Garage".

As some of you may have noticed, our Swedish download server is temporarily down for maintenance. We are taking that opportunity to upgrade the box itself by adding more HD space to better cope with the increasing traffic. Unless any major issues arise, the server should be back online within a few hours ... bigger and better baby!

The game is developed on original high-tech engine The Firestarter Engine, which uses the possibilities of the latest accelerator generation GeForce3/4. Among the engine possibilities are work with outdoor and indoor areas, coloured dynamic lighting, dynamic shadows, vertex and pixel shaders, T&L, procedure textures, various classes of particle system-based effects, interactive and destructible level objects, realistic physics, high-polygonal character and monster models (up to 5000 of polygons), skeleton animation. Codemasters plans to release an IGI 2 version 1.2 upgrade on Friday. Improvements range from bug fixes to better frame rates on high-end systems. Codemasters will also release a new map editor that allows players to create their own levels and a new dedicated server pack that includes a Linux compatible server (thanks Avault).

Vivendi Universal Games announced today that the sci-fi action shooter Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter is shipping to retail stores nationwide for the PlayStation2 and the Xbox. Mace Griffin will also be available for Windows PC and for Nintendo GameCube in early September.

The Desert Combat team has released a new version of their popular BF1942 mod. Public Alpha 0.38d features a slew of bug fixes and additions aimed at creating one of the best war game experiences on the PC.
