Paradox Entertainment today announced that it has licensed the worldwide rights from Atari and Hasbro to develop and publish new PC games based on the successful Avalon Hill board and video games.

Terminator 3: The Redemption will surprise players with innovative and exciting gameplay presented in a number of different styles utilizing vehicles and machines straight from the Terminator universe, pitting the Terminator against numerous ground and air-based and enemies.

Valve has selected Japan-based Namco, Ltd. as its representative to distribute its already famous games, including Half-Life, Counter-Strike, and Day of Defeat, to the cyber cafe community in Japan. Namco is currently the only authorized cyber cafe reseller in Japan for Valve games.

Electronic Arts Inc., Atari Inc. and Vivendi Universal Games sued 321 in June, claiming that 321's software allows illegal copying of CDs and DVDs. The company has suffered under the strain of suits by the various entertainment industries, and in June the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported it had laid off more than 300 employees. 321 has ceased operations and an independent online vendor is running a close-out sale on 321 products not subject to an injunction.
