So i picked up 3DO's Army Men : RTS and plunged myself into the world of toy soldiers ... I used to have those little green toys by the dozens 20 years ago and loved playing with them. I actually never tried any of the previous Army Men games but since this one is a real time strategy game i had to give it a whirl ... Finished the campaign and the battles (aprox 25 missions in all). Check out the screens!

Ask someone to describe a typical computer games enthusiast and many will paint a picture of kids in the back of a car playing with a GameBoy or teenage boys in their bedroom on their PlayStation. Few will think of the "twenty- and thirty-somethings" that actually make up the largest game-playing group. (I just think its a natural process of the "first" REAL gaming generation simply getting older .. nothing "new" ed.)

We just tossed up 2 movies from Microsofts title, Asheron's Call 2. The movies show some combat animations for the Lugian warrior. "Asheron's Call 2 is the sequel to the original Asheron's Call massively multiplayer game. JD from Tiscali Games send us a note about that they talked with Randy Pitchford from Gearbox Software about Condition Zero, their upcoming single-player version of the popular Counter-Strike Half-Life multiplayer mod. Topics in 17 questions include improvements and compatibility between Condition Zero and normal Counter-Strike, time needed for completing objectives, visibility of gas mask, hardware requirements, bots, plans for demo and more.

There is a
Freelancer movie (previously appeared on the cover discs of GameStar magazine) available over at German fansite Station-Network.de. The site is rather slow but they offer two versions,
a regular size clip (aprox. 28mb/3 minutes) and
a bigger high-res one (aprox. 36mb/4mins). Both have in-game footage with the German commentator illustrating the game features, gameplay and more (thanks blues).

THQ Inc. today announced that it has added gaming veterans Outrage Entertainment to its internal studio roster. Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the team at Outrage Entertainment is best known for its PC gaming roots at Parallax Software, creators of Descent.
