Pop Idol, set to be the mass-market game of the year for PlayStation 2 and PC, will be exclusively presented from a themed stage on the booth. Codemasters will challenge show-goers to see how well they can perform as a virtual Pop Idol singer as they control the in-game voice of a contestant through the music-based rhythm-action gameplay.

Every in-game performance is judged by a computer-generated Simon Cowell, and there may be some very familiar Idols faces at Codemasters' E3 booth too...

Codemasters will also unveil the next level for its power-brand games including Colin McRae Rally, Operation Flashpoint and LMA Manager.

MMORPG is reporting that codemasters has signed a publishing agreement with Turbine to bring its upcoming Dungeon & Dragons Online: Stormreach to European gamers. After cancelling its internal MMO Dragon Empire, it seems Codemasters has gotten back into the online gaming business, a few months ago it announced RF Online and now Turbine's anticipated DDO: Stormreach. An official announcement should arrive on Monday, when Codmeasters plans to open their official DDO website.

Set to be the most authentic and compelling tactical real time strategy game ever designed, Wartime Command will excel in detail and accuracy, especially in its portrayal of period weapons of war. Citing too many delays, and problems with idea implementations, Codemasters has decided to remove Wartime Command (aka WW II RTS) from its catalogue, and will no longer be publishing it. 1C Company is still developing, although without publisher backing, the future of the project is up in the air.
