Back in March, Take-Two CEO Jeffrey Lapin revealed that, even though sales numbers for Max Payne 2 were below expectations, they are planning for a Max Payne 3. Lapin also said it will most like not be ready "for another few years," while Remedy's level designer Mikael Kasurinen claimed they were not working on the game. Time for some rumors now, as Russian Gamemag.ru claims to have received info from an unnamed "insider" that Max Payne 3 could be coming as early as October 17, 2005. No official statement announcing the project has been made, let alone pinning down a specific release date.

The relationship between Jerry Bruckheimer and video game creator American McGee grew even closer with the news that McGee will write the script for the film adaptation of his video game "Oz." Eidos released its financial statement for the current year in which it is revealed that they are already working on a sequel to Shellshock. The statement reads, "ShellShock: Nam '67 (launched in September), has proved to be a successful new franchise with shipments to date of circa 800,000 units, and with strong sell through, which exceeds our original forecasts. LucasArts announced that Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords for the Xbox has gone gold and will be in-store on December 6, 2004.

In 'MX vs. ATV Unleashed,' players will power through all-new environments and event types, choosing from a variety of new vehicles. A redesigned monster truck, powerful sand-rail and raised 4x4 golf karts will meet ATVs, dirt bikes and bi-planes to compete in massive free-world environments featuring hill climbs, machine challenges and short track races.
