SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo will offer fans of the multi-million selling franchise all-new single-player and wireless multiplayer gaming missions in four different Areas of Operation (AO). Players are tasked with completing 14 unique, realistic international single-player missions, including Chile, which is a unique AO only available in the PSP release. Previously listed as fall 2005, SCEA announced today operations start November 8, 2005.

As was expected, Sony today announced the third installment in the SOCOM series, SOCOM III: U.S. Navy SEALs. Under development at Zipper Interactive, SOCOM 3 is scheduled for Q3 2005 and will take place in all new locations such as Morocco, Poland, and Bangladesh, feature over 30 new weapons, larger maps, improved AI, allow you to drive/operate vehicles and you can now also go for a swim. Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. announced today that SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs, the sequel to the number one online console game and "Greatest Hit" title, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs, set a new standard for online console gaming in its first two days of release, even before the title was in full retail distribution. Expanding on the success of the original, which has sold more than two million units worldwide, the highly anticipated sequel, released on November 4th, quickly bumped its predecessor from the number one online console game spot. On November 4th, the two titles in the SOCOM franchise ranked as the number one and number two online console games in terms of simultaneous players, and the user base is quickly growing.
