Newly founded Supersonic Group announced today it has signed Enlight's Bad Day in LA, a third-person action/adventure game with a tongue-in-cheek comedic twist. This is to be taken with a grain of salt, but indications are that during a Nintendo press conference, Senior Managing Director Yoshihiro Mori announced the Wii will launch October 24th, 2006, and will cost 25,000 Yen, which is the equivalent of $225. No specifics were given as to whether this date is for Japan only, or whether it will be a global launch, but Nintendo plans to have 6 million units available between October and March 2007. Several retail sources indicated listings have Wii titles pegged for October release.

community update from SiN Episodes' lead desginer Shawn Ketcherside reveals that Ritual plans to release an SDK, Arena Mode, and Multiplayer for free to Emergence players. Plans are to release 3 episodes per storyline, wrapping up the main quest, but leaving questions unanswered for future expansions. For Episode 2 Ritual will update the game engine with the latest Source code, and based on community feedback, will adjust the story line, and give people more Blade time.

Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios today announced the sponsorship of Risi Competizione’s Ferrari 430GT for the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). As the official racing simulator during the entire race season, the Ferrari’s paint scheme will display Forza Motorsport 2 and Xbox 360 on the hood of the car.

Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd. announced that it has signed an agreement with Walt Disney Co.'s Internet group to develop and distribute an online game based on popular Disney characters, marking Disney's entrance into China's online game market.
