'Half-Life 2 : Episode 2' Details Revealed

The newest issue of PC Gamer has plenty of new details on the second downloadable episode for Half-Life 2. New weapon (Strider buster), new locations (missile silos, forrests, minefields), new vehicles, more complex physics puzzles, new gravity gun mode, new multiplayer mode and more open battles with large amount of enemies. Unfortunately the article also states that Half-Life 2 : Episode 2 is scheduled for spring 2007, if this is accurate then that means several months delay from its original date.

Leaked Release Schedule Reveals Ubisoft Wii Titles

Multiple online sources seems to have confirmed what might be an early list of additional titles for Nintendo's next gen Wii console. According to the release schedule sent to North American retail stores, Ubisoft is preparing no less than 5 titles, in addition to the already announced Red Steel and Rayman games. Blazing Angels, GT (racing title), Monster Trucks (more racing), Prince of Persia and Far Cry. These titles are pegged as Wii launch window titles, meaning they will not be available at launch but shortly thereafter. To be taken with a grain of salt, but if true, very exciting ...

Bill Gates Is Calling It Quits

Microsoft founder Bill Gates announced at a press conference earlier today that he is stepping down as chief software architect, while chief technical officer Ray Ozzie will assume responsibilities. Chief technical officer Craig Mundie steps up to the plate as chief research and strategy officer, taking over Gates' research and incubation duties. To round it off, Gates also revealed that he will gradually let go of his daily responsibilities over the next two years, but will remain full-time until the formal transition takes place in June 2008.
