Creatures of the night beware, VUGames announced today that it will be unleashing Van Helsing for the PS2 and Xbox, based on the highly-anticipated film from Universal Pictures. Van Helsing, the new epic action-adventure film from writer-director Stephen Sommers, (The Mummy, The Mummy Returns) draws inspiration from the studio's classic horror properties and introduces Van Helsing, Bram Stoker's fabled monster hunter, who is summoned to a distant Eastern European land on a quest to vanquish evil. The stars Hugh Jackman (X-Men, Swordfish, Kate & Leopold) and Kate Beckinsale (Pearl Harbor) and is slated for a May 7, 2004 release.

Namco today announced Dead to Rights II: Hell to Pay, the sequel to its third person console action game (which will also be available soon on PC). The story-driven action in Dead to Rights 2 promises "intense new gameplay mechanics including a lightning-paced 360-degree brawling system, vicious melee weapon battles and an innovative new spherical slow motion diving system." Dead to Rights 2 is currently scheduled for release on PlayStation 2 and Xbox in fall 2004.
