Konami of Europe is delighted to announce the first fruits of its acquisition of leading Japanese developer Hudson Soft, with the release of Bomberman Kart for PlayStation 2 in Q1, 2003. The publisher will also be unveiling additional Hudson titles, with Pinobee for PSone and Pinobee and Phoebee for Game Boy Advance to follow later in the year.

Acclaim today announced it has begun shipping Legends of Wrestling II for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance. Noticed on GamePRO that Enix announced early today that, effective November 26, they will begin to merge operations with Square to form Square Enix, a brand-new company created to compete in the world gaming marketplace on the same level as America and Europe's large third parties. The two companies aim to complete the merger by April 1, 2003 and will aim to build a new firm that will produce 80 billion yen ($656 million) in sales and 15 billion yen ($123 million) in profit by fiscal 2005.

CDV Software Entertainment today announced that the historical real-time strategy game "Cossacks: Back to war" is now available in stores. "Cossacks: Back to War" includes all of the strategic power and pageantry of the original real-time strategy bestseller "Cossacks: European Wars" as well as the first expansion pack "Cossacks: The Art of War," and adds two new playable nations - Switzerland and Hungary.

VE3D reports that the “booster pack” to Anarchy Online is on it’s way to stores. Among the new features included in the booster are the ability to control land, new sounds, and new graphical updates. A downloadable version may become available at a later date. Funcom stated it has planned a series of additional 'booster packs.' "Anarchy Online is the first science fiction-based massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (Sci-fi MMORPG)."
