Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announced PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) as the official platform name for the next generation portable entertainment system, while also revealing two models and pricing.

Sony announced that it will fully restore all PlayStation Network services in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea by the end of this week.

Sony president Kazuo Hirai announced that it has begun the phased restoration by region of some of the services, starting with online multiplayer functionality.
