EA announced that its EA Redwood Shores Studio, currently working on Dante's Inferno and Dead Space: Extraction, and two other unannounced titles, has been renamed and rebranded Visceral Games to better reflect the studio's culture, identity and focus on creating intense action-oriented games.

Set in a dark fantasy world burning with strife and unrest, Shadowbane combines immersive role-playing with deep strategic elements such as city management, army creation, siege warfare and economic development. Scheduled to go down on May 1, Shadowbane got an reprieve until July 1, 2009, and while Ubisoft is trying to get rid of the MMORPG, AeriaGames is interested in taking over and currently checking the viability of the game.
