NCsoft announced that it has acquired California-based developer Carbine Studios. Founded by a several former Blizzard employees, Carbine is currently working on an unannounced project that promises to break new ground in massively multiplayer gaming.

Mass Effect is a science-fiction action-RPG created by BioWare, previously known for Jade Empire, KotoR and Neverwinter Nights. Mass Effect will deliver an immersive story driven gameplay experience with stunning visual fidelity. The Limited Collector's Edition will include a Galactic Codex: Essentials novel, A Future Imagined art book and a 2nd DVD with exclusive videos.

SCEA has released several playable demos for upcoming games on the PlayStation Network, Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War and The Simpsons, in addition to the full version of its latest skiing game, Go!
