A2M Acquires Wanako Games

Canadian indie developer A2M has acquired Chile based Wanako Games from Activision Blizzard. Known for Xbox Live Arcade such as Assault Heroes and 3D Ultra Mini Golf Adventures, Wanako Games was acquired by Sierra back in 2007 but was put up for sale after Vivendi merged with Activision earlier this year, and is currently working on 3D Ultra Mini Golf 2.

Midway Facing New York Stock Exchange De-listing

For once it's not Atari, as today Midway received notification from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) that it has fallen below the standard for continued listing of its common stock on the NYSE that requires a minimum average closing price of $1.00 per share over 30 consecutive trading days. Midway plans to notify the NYSE that it will seek to cure the deficiency, but if not, its stock faces being delisted.
