Valve announced today that it is content with the reception after recently releasing Counter-Strike: Source maps de_inferno and de_port, and on that note, give us a look at what's coming next. This week, Valve has released a couple of screenshots from the remake of the classic Counter-Strike map cs_assault, which is now set in downtown Chicago. Burnout Revenge lets gamers rip through rush hour traffic and lay waste to scores of rubbernecking roadhogs in an over-the-top scene of vehicular mayhem. The game is currently in development by Criterion Games for the PS2 and Xbox.

Heaven vs. Hell, the next generation of real-time strategy (RTS) PC gaming, puts players in command and allows them to join in the battle over the souls of humanity and determine their eternal existence. The game is built around the concept of resource and force management, as well as battlefield strategy, all packaged neatly within a fully featured game including a riveting story, beautiful 3D graphics and breathtaking sound effects.

During E3 Activision started a Guess The City Contest for the public to try and find out (ends 11:59 p.m. PT on June 16, 2005) which location its True Crime sequel will take place. Giving away a brand new Chrysler 300 to the lucky winner, Activision has released a new trailer showing off some ingame footage, as well as giving a few hints. 'Age of Empires III' is set in 1500 A.D. and chronicles the Age of Discovery that started around the time that Columbus "discovered" the new world. The single player campaign follows American history up through 1850, and in multiplayer mode, you'll be able to choose from among eight different civilizations, and there will include free-for-all and team-vs-team matches for up to eight players.

Infinium Labs today announced that its president and chief operating officer, Kevin Bachus, will appear on G4 TV "Attack of the Show" to demonstrate the Phantom Game Service and Phantom Game Receiver.
