The First MOD For Mobile Forces

The first MOD for Mobile Forces is now available, Mental Race is a new, bonus gametype for Mobile Forces, put together by the game's creators, Real Time Worlds. Mental race is designed to be placed in maps compatible with Mobile Forces' Trailer mode, i.e. 'mf-' maps, such as the 11 original environments which came with the retail release, and any extra 'tra-' maps created by the community. The new game type can be started from the Skirmish mode screen for offline play with bots, or from the Multiplayer Host game screen for LAN or internet play.

New Test Drive for PS2 Cheats Announced

With Test Drive for PlayStation2 hitting the store shelves it's time to break out the cheat codes and experience some fun and exciting new cars. The game not only features SoundMAX SPX "animated audio" from Analog Devices, but three hidden SoundMAX cars that promise to tear up the tracks. The SoundMAX SPX audio rendering technology allows players to differentiate between the turbo charger on a V6 engine and the deep bass roar of a big block V8, thus bringing the game's engine sounds to life.

Coming soon "according to Reuters": a video game based on the botched 1993 raid in Somalia now known as "Black Hawk Down" and etched in American memory after two dead U.S. soldiers were dragged through the streets of Mogadishu. The company producing the game, Calabasas, California-based NovaLogic, said the game was patriotic, intended in part to educate the public about the U.S. mission in Somalia. But some critics question that aim and whether the game risks blurring the line between history and entertainment and altering perceptions about the bloodiest firefight in U.S. military history since Vietnam.

Following a well established tradition, once again everybody (or almost everybody) from the games business met at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E³) in Los Angeles, to check the newest trends and present their forthcoming hot and innovative titles. And, of course to also take a glimpse at the booth babes… In Kentia Hall, CDV presented its biggest line-up of titles so far and impressed visitors and editors with its exciting array of games spanning over genres such as RTS, action shooter and role playing.
