Ubisoft today also revealed the final name of the previously announced Far Cry Instincts Next Chapter. Far Cry Instincts Evolution is scheduled for March 2006 together with Far Cry Instincts Predator for the X360 which will include both the original FCI and the new FCI Evolution title.

Ubisoft announced today that Splinter Cell Double Agent is getting pushed back from its original March 2006 date, all the way to September. Reason for the delay is to have a synchronized launch on all platforms, including the X360.

EA today announced March 24th as the day The Godfather videogame will be on store shelves in Europe and March 21st in North America. In less than two months, gamers will step into the Don's dangerous world of intimidation and negotiation via their PS2, Xbox or PC, while the Xbox 360 and PSP version are to follow later in 2006.

Konami announced The Silent Hill Experience for the PSP, a behind-the-scenes look at the Silent Hill franchise. Using an intuitive 3D interface, SH fans will be able to view all-new digital interactive comics, listen to music from the Silent Hill games, and watch exclusive video content, including an interview with the director of the upcoming Silent Hill movie.

Nintendo Japan announced today it will launch a high-end version of its Nintendo DS portable game machine on March 2 in Japan, which will be thinner and lighter than the existing model. The Nintendo DS Lite will be sold for 16,800 yen ($145) versus 15,000 yen for the existing model, and weighs 218 grams compared to 275 grams for the Nintendo DS.
