THQ announced its plans for talented game developer Patrice Désilets, previously creative director on the Assassin's Creed franchise, as well as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, to join the company next summer to form a new THQ owned development studio housed within its video game development studio in Montreal, Quebec.

A record-breaking 136 projects are fighting for a share of 3 million Danish Kroner (approx. 550,000 USD) in the second round of applications for grants from this year’s Nordic game development pool. Only about six applicants will be successful.
