Gratuitous Space Battles is a strategy / management / simulation game that does away with all the base building and delays and gets straight to the meat and potatoes of science-fiction games: The big space battles fought by huge spaceships with tons of laser beams and things going 'zap!', 'ka-boom!' and 'ka-pow!'.

Another weekend over too soon! As planned, we did not get much done yesterday. Watched some Kitchen Nightmares, some Chuck and the second episodes of The Pacific, which was once more emotional and visceral at the same time.

I've got a slew of recent titles to check out, including Dragon Age, Aliens vs Predator and Mass Effect 2. I've just got to get around to actually pulling myself away from CrimeCraft.

Nothing major planned for this week, so we'll work on getting a few more interviews prepped, as well as a bunch of first looks at upcoming titles.

KOEI's new game is based on one of the most widely-recognized manga and anime series of all time, "Hokuto no Ken" or "Fist of the North Star." Hokuto Musou takes place in the manga's post-apocalyptic world where the remaining survivors of a nuclear holocaust roam the wasteland in an ongoing struggle against marauding tribes for food and water.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the winners for its Video Games Awards, with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves besting the competition with 4 awards, closely followed by Batman: Arkham Asylum (2) and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 only snagging the Voted By the Public award.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Ep. I offers 2D gameplay through rendered HD environments, allowing you to speed through each level with the classic Spin Dash move, and destroy enemies using the Homing Attack. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Ep. I sees the return of the much-loved special stages and takes players through a variety of different Zones, all inspired by the Mega Drive era.
