Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group announced today the acquisition of a majority stake in Rocksteady Studios, a privately held developer of interactive entertainment targeted at teens and adults, continuing Warner Bros.’ pattern as one of the industry’s fastest growing games publishers.

Nothing is as it seems in Nier, an action adventure game set in a crumbling world plagued by disease and dark, unrecognizable creatures. Players assume the role of the unyielding protagonist, resolute in his quest to discover a cure for his daughter, who is infected with the Black Scrawl virus.

PixelJunk Racers is a slot racing game in which players control the action from an overhead view. It features 10 tracks, a dozen play modes, and support for up to seven players on the same console. While there has yet to be an official announcement, Q Games is working on PixelJunk Racers: 2nd Lap according to a new ESRB listing. Whether this is an addon, an updated version, or a full blown sequel was not revealed.

After Burner Climax is an arcade-style flight combat title that features fast and frantic feats, putting you in the cockpit of the world's top fighter jets. Players dodge planes, rockets and bullets while trying to target multiple on-screen enemy aircraft to relive the experience of the classic After Burner arcade game.

In Aliens vs. Predator, players will have the chance to take the role of the three infamous species: the Colonial Marine, the Predator and the Alien. Each of the three species has its very own distinct story-driven, single-player campaign mode that interweaves with the campaigns of the other two species. Despite some unfavorable reviews Rebellion is pleased with the sales, topped #1 in the UK, and is currently talking with SEGA about post launch support, and even a sequel.

First of all I need to apologize for the late and spotty coverage yesterday morning. We were starting to feel like we were living in some third world country. First, our Internet connection kept cutting out, and then shortly thereafter, the electricity went out for a few hours. It's amazing how little there is to do without power — no TV, no Internet, no radio, no lights, no phone, and even the laptop was of no use since there were no functional routers in the area, for obvious reasons. Another negative side effect of the matter was that when the power went down, it tweaked my iPod again, for some reason! I'm going to try one more time to get it working, but if it dies on me again, I'm kicking it to the curb.
