Front Mission Evolved brings the classic Front Mission franchise into an action-packed third-person shooter that gives players full control of a massive humanoid war machine—the wanzer. Players will battle through intense combat situations as they explore an immersive world in both the single player campaign and online multiplayer.

A Fallout MMO has been talked about since 2004, but Interplay was forced to sell off most of its licenses due to financial reasons. When Bethesda acquired the Fallout license, Interplay kept an exclusive Fallout MMO license, under certain conditions. Recently Bethesda filed suit against Interplay trying to obtain the complete Fallout rights, which has so far unsuccessful. According to speculations one of the reasons may be the Bethesda's MMO department is working on a new "World of Warcraft" style game, information revealed in the court case against Interplay, which it is now trying to get redacted from the transcripts in order to hide it from the competition.

Sony announced that it will release its new PS3 Motion Controller together with an extensive line-up of exciting software titles. The new controller, combined with the PlayStation Eye camera, can detect the natural and intuitive movement of the hand and reflect the precise movement.

NewU Fitness First Mind Body is the second release of the fitness series, focusing on Yoga and Pilates workouts, and will be fully compatible with Wii Balance Board and Wii Motion Plus.

Valve's trilogy of episodic single player gaming was meant to provide games on a smaller scale but more frequently, but with Ep.2 released over two years ago, rumor has it that Dr. Gordon Freeman is not going to race through a countryside riddled with an increasingly fierce Combine threat anytime soon. According to Game Informer there will be no Half-Life release this year even though Valve's Gabe Newell claimed last year that Ep.3 was still in development, fueling speculation the game may evolve in an entirely new installment, even with a new engine (seeing as Source is now over five years old).

Braid is a unique 2-D puzzle-platform experience that bends all the rules with the manipulation of time. Braid plays with the conventions of video games while posing truly challenging puzzles for the platform gamer.

It was raining all day, and I'm talking torrential, cats & dogs rain. Absolute buckets of the stuff. Some serious thunder made the house rumble, and there was even some hail on top of that. Haven't had such a heavy storm in a long time. Luckily, it seemed to have eased up by now, but they are predicting more of the same over the next few days. Joy!

Apart from the outdoor shenanigans, it was a quiet day on the home front. Watched some Fringe, the newest Leverage, and then some Australian Open. We had been meaning to check out the British Robin Hood series, and it's finally available on Netflix instant watch. So far, so good.
