Sony PS3 v2.70 Firmware Update Details

Sony is preparing to release a new v2.70 PS3 firmware update, which includes several new features that enhance how PS3 users communicate and interact with their online friends, such as a new Text Chat feature that will enable users to chat with their online PlayStation Network friends. Other updates include enhancements to the Friends list on the XMB (XrossMediaBar) and improvements to the video delivery service on PlayStation Store.

'Silent Hill: Shattered Memories' (Wii) Revealed

According to the latest issue of Nintendo Power, Konami is revamping the first installment of its Silent Hill horror series specifically for the Wii as Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Labeled as a re-imagining, producer Tomm Hulett revealed that it will feature the same basic plot of the original game, but will be tweaked, characters will play different roles, things don't necessarily happen in the same order, and the story is taken in lots of new directions. There will be less backtracking, previously "closed" doors will now all be unlockable, and puzzles have been tweaked to work with the Wii Remote.
